Purpose, Goals and Objectives: The Membership Committee is dedicated to an effective membership process that promotes inclusion and engagement of members through a wide variety of activities, programming, and member‑requested experiences—we want to hear from you.
Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteering with the Membership Committee is one of the best ways to get connected at Austin SHRM. Our roles are people‑forward, relationship‑driven, and designed to help members feel welcomed, engaged, and inspired. We’re looking for collaborative, community‑minded members who can contribute 1–4 hours per month and help bring the Austin SHRM experience to life for HR professionals across Central Texas.
Membership Ambassadors: One of the most popular volunteer roles and a great way to meet and connect with fellow members. As a Membership Ambassador, you may support:
Special Roles
SHRM Foundation Champion: Serve as an advocate for the SHRM Foundation by helping raise awareness, promote giving, and support initiatives that advance workplace inclusion and HR impact.
Membership Communications Lead: Support clear, engaging membership communications by highlighting programs, events, and member stories across Austin SHRM channels.
