The 2024 General Election may have just ended, but the need for civic engagement and civility remains constant. In today’s polarized climate, this is especially important. With ongoing local issues impacting communities every day and the TX Legislative Session just around the corner, businesses have a unique opportunity to foster a culture of civic engagement that goes beyond election cycles, promoting informed participation and fostering healthy dialogues in the workplace all year long.

Learning Objectives:

Level set on the current state of democracy & business
How workplaces can drive sustained civic engagement beyond elections
Practical steps to encourage respectful discourse on politically or socially charged topics
Ideas for facilitating ongoing civics education/employee engagement opportunities

The presentation will be interactive including a keynote with breakout discussions to facilitate brainstorming on how companies can implement these practices within their workplace.

Reservation/Cancellation Policy

Registrations must be received before close of business on the Monday prior to the event so that we may turn in a headcount. Onsite registrations are accepted at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. If you can't make the event, please let us know 72 hours beforehand by sending an email to support@austinshrm.org, so that we can cancel your registration. Please note, refunds will not be issued after the 72 hour mark as we pay the venue based on the number of attendees reserved - including no-shows.
