The purpose of Labor day is to honor all workers and recognize their contributions not just in the workplace but within society as well. It is always observed on the first Monday in September in the United States and Canada. Monday, September 4th for many it represents the end of summer and the start back to school; Austin SHRM wants you to enjoy this time safely with your family.
