  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Committee - Co-led by John Carlson & Themmi Hamilton. Our goal is to position global diversity and inclusion as a strategic component critical to individual and organizational success; to provide programs and resources that increase cross cultural competencies in a global and virtual workforce.
  • Legal & Legislative Committee - Led by Sarah Glaser. The Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee provides services to keep Austin SHRM members informed of the status of key legal issues that affect the human resource management field.
  • Membership Committee - Co-led by Alexis Guerrero and Bathusi Musa. The Membership Committee recruits members and supports programs and events that provide development opportunities for HR professionals.
  • Workforce Readiness Committee - Led by Shanon Holley. Workforce readiness is ensuring new and returning workplace entrants are prepared to enter the workforce with the requisite knowledge, skills, abilities, and attributes in order to engage in endeavors that will be required in their respective occupations.
  • Program Committee - Led by Marie Carroll. The Programs Committee supports the coordination and delivery of quality programs, professional development, and networking opportunities throughout the year for HR professionals and individuals from the general community.
